21 dogs, including puppies, killed after outbuilding catches fire in west Michigan

Authorities in southwestern Michigan stated 21 canine, together with 19 puppies, died in a fireplace Sunday morning.
Firefighters responded to a fireplace reported at 4:50 a.m. at an outbuilding within the 50200 block of M-43, in Arlington Township, about 4 miles east of town of Bangor in Van Buren County, in keeping with a social media submit from South Haven Space Emergency Companies.
The constructing was totally engulfed in flames when first responders arrived on scene, authorities stated.
South Haven Space Emergency Companies, which assisted, stated investigators consider the fireplace was attributable to a warmth lamp left close to the straw within the outbuilding.
The fireplace killed two grownup canine and litters of 19-day-old mastiff puppies, officers stated. Bangor Hearth Chief Derek Babcock advised WWMT-TV in Kalamazoo that the outbuilding was getting used as a breeding kennel and that the warmth lamp was powered by extension cords.
Two canine escaped the fireplace, WWMT-TV reported.
