Michigan authors tour coming to Oakland County

Fifty Michigan libraries will arrange authors whose works had been honored as 2025 Michigan Notable Books, Michigan’s library introduced.

The Michigan Notable Books Writer Tour from 2025 is from April to June. Along with the automotive tour, the annual night for Notables Celebration is deliberate on Saturday 26 April within the Library of Michigan in Lansing.

The Tour will cross 4 libraries in Oakland County:

April 25 – Rochester Christian College – Ham Library
Might 7 – Royal Oak Public Library
June 2 – Clarkston Independence District Library
June 25 – Oak Park Public Library
The Michigan Notable Books program selects 20 glorious books yearly which have printed the earlier calendar 12 months that displays the varied ethnic, historic, literary and cultural experiences of Michigan.

“Connecting authors with individuals in Michigan is among the main facets of the Michigan Notable Books program, particularly in communities that don’t at all times have the chance to fulfill high-caliber writers,” stated Staatsbi librarian Randy Riley. “It’s nice to listen to the conversations at these authors’ occasions, as a result of each title celebrates the distinctiveness of life in Michigan.”
