Andrew Cuomo warns NYC ‘will not survive’ if Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo warned on Wednesday that if Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor of New York Metropolis, the Massive Apple will flip socialist, explaining how the rise of the far left has led to a “silent civil conflict” throughout the Democratic Get together.

Cuomo, who’s working as an unbiased mayor of New York Metropolis, predicted Wednesday throughout an look on Fox Enterprise’ “Morning with Maria” that New York Metropolis “is not going to survive” a Mamdani authorities.

“New York shall be a socialist economic system if Mamdani wins,” Cuomo stated when requested about his message to voters forward of Election Day. “The town is not going to survive that as we all know it, and it’ll not get well for a very long time.”

Cuomo described how the rise of radical left politicians, equivalent to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., within the Democratic Get together has led to what he known as a “civil conflict.”

“The reality is, there’s a silent civil conflict happening throughout the Democratic Get together proper now,” Cuomo stated. “You will have the far left. Radical left. Bernie Sanders, AOC – Mamdani is simply the poster baby for that motion – versus the mainstream reasonable Democrats. They name me reasonable now. They used to name me liberal. Now I am reasonable as a result of the entire celebration has modified.”

Cuomo stated the so-called “civil conflict” and the way forward for the Democratic Get together are on the heart of New York Metropolis’s mayoral elections.

“And that is what these elections are about,” he stated. “It is that civil conflict. I consider the far left will destroy the Democratic Get together. I consider it’s going to destroy the Democratic Get together throughout the nation if the far left turns into dominant. This isn’t a socialist nation. They won’t settle for socialist insurance policies, they don’t seem to be anti-law and order, they don’t seem to be anti-business.”

Cuomo stated if elected mayor, his three prime priorities for New York Metropolis can be security, reasonably priced housing and dealing with companies to deliver them again to the Massive Apple.
