In an interview with CNBC, Karp commented on New York’s mayoral election, saying, “We’re most likely on the verge of an entire catastrophe. I used to be born in New York.”

He continued, saying, “If you happen to ask, ‘Do these items actually work?’ Everybody says: ‘After all I am not going to vote for that.’ As a substitute, they ask, ‘Does it work in principle?'”
