Coast Guard opens fire on U-Haul truck at California base entrance

Photographs have been fired Thursday night at a Coast Guard base in California towards a U-Haul truck approaching the bottom entrance after the motive force ignored instructions to cease the car, the Coast Guard stated.
The U.S. Coast Guard stated safety personnel on responsibility at Coast Guard Island witnessed a U-Haul truck “driving erratically and making an attempt to return to Coast Guard Base Alameda” round 10 p.m. Thursday.

Officers on the entrance “fired a number of rounds of dwell ammunition” after the motive force of the U-Haul ignored “a number of verbal instructions” to cease after which drove again towards the bottom entrance, the Coast Guard stated.
“When the car’s actions posed an instantaneous risk to the protection of Coast Guard and safety personnel, regulation enforcement officers fired a number of rounds of dwell ammunition,” the division stated in a press release.
The Coast Guard confirmed that no personnel have been injured through the incident.
