Democratic consultant says ‘AOC of Tennessee’ not a ‘very serious’ candidate

Democratic marketing consultant Julian Epstein on Sunday referred to as out Aftyn Behn, the “AOC of Tennessee,” insisting that the progressive race to succeed Rep. Mark Inexperienced is “not a really critical candidate.”

Behn, a Democratic state consultant and former well being care group organizer, is working in opposition to Republican candidate Matt Van Epps to characterize Tennessee’s seventh Congressional District, which incorporates components of the Democratic stronghold of Nashville.

Behn was criticized by the Republican Nationwide Committee (RNC) for a resurfaced 2020 podcast wherein she described how she “hates[s]“Nashville and all of the issues that make town an ‘it’ metropolis for the remainder of the nation.
