Detroiter accused of embezzling $80K while working as bank teller in Troy
A Detroit lady is going through three felony expenses associated to her work as a teller at a Troy financial institution.
Rhodesia Jones, 25, is charged with embezzlement from a monetary establishment, a 20-year felony, and two counts of failure to file taxes/submitting false tax returns/fee, which carries a penalty of as much as 5 years in jail.
Prosecutors allege Jones stole roughly $80,000 from prospects’ accounts whereas working as a teller at PNC Financial institution in Troy from June 2023 to Might 2024.
At her Oct. 8 arraignment earlier than 52-4 Justice of the Peace Elizabeth Chiappelli, a $50,000 private bond was set, with no money or bond required. Jones’ subsequent court docket look is scheduled for October 16.
