John Lodge, Moody Blues vocalist and bassist, dead at 82

John Lodge, the legendary bassist and singer of The Moody Blues, has handed away. He was 82.

In an announcement shared to Fox Information Digital on Friday, Lodge’s household mentioned he died “all of the sudden and unexpectedly.” The household added that Lodge “slipped away peacefully, surrounded by his family members and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly.”

Birmingham-born Lodge joined The Moody Blues in 1966, two years after forming, together with fellow singer Justin Hayward, following the departure of Denny Laine and Clint Warwick. He remained with the band till they stopped performing dwell in 2018.
