Ohio man dies in U.P. snowmobile crash, MSP says. What happened

A 22-year-old man was killed in a snowmobile crash within the Higher Peninsula on Saturday, January 17, in keeping with the Michigan State Police Eighth District. on X.

Troopers from MSP’s Negaunee Publish have been dispatched Saturday at roughly 10:30 p.m. after a reported snowmobile crash on Path 8, close to H-58 in Shingleton Township, east of Munising.

The Garrettsville, Ohio, man was unable to barter a bend within the path and struck a tree at a excessive charge of pace, MSP stated.

Though emergency medical care was supplied, the snowmobile driver died from his accidents.

“Our ideas exit to the household and family members affected by this loss,” stated Lt. Ben Eckola, MSP Eighth District Public Data Officer.

MSP was assisted by Alger County EMS and Alger County Rescue 21.

Earlier this month, a 61-year-old Saline man was killed in a snowmobile accident in Mackinac County.
