State Superintendent Michael Rice will retire later this year

- State inspector Michael Rice will retire later this 12 months
- Rice has pushed again on among the Trump administration’s efforts to alter academic practices or coverage
- The Partizan State Board of Schooling is answerable for deciding on the following State Superintendent
State superintendent Michael Rice will retire in October, introduced the Michigan Division of Schooling on Friday.
Rice, 62, had led the division since 2019. He’s the previous chief inspector of Kalamazoo Public Faculties.
“It was an honor to serve Michigan’s 1.4 million public college kids up to now six college years,” Rice mentioned in a press release.
“Het was een voorrecht om samen te werken met de State Board of Schooling en de getalenteerde leraren, studenten, ouders, beheerders, ondersteunend personeel, gouverneur Whitmer, staatswetgevers, onderwijsorganisaties, bredere gemeenschap en het toegewijde personeel van het Michigan Division of Schooling (MDE), klein in aantal maar machtig in de strijd, om onderwijs voor onze kinderen te verbeteren.”
