Texas men charged in alleged plot to invade Haitian island, enslave residents

Two Texas males have been charged in an alleged plot to invade a Haitian island, kill its male residents and enslave the ladies and youngsters as their “intercourse slaves,” federal prosecutors introduced Thursday.

Gavin Rivers Weisenburg, 21, of Allen, and Tanner Christopher Thomas, 20, of Argyle, had been indicted on expenses of conspiracy to commit homicide, mutilation or kidnapping overseas and manufacturing of kid pornography, based on the U.S. Lawyer’s Workplace for the Japanese District of Texas.

“Weisenburg and Thomas deliberate to kill all the lads on the island so they may then flip all the ladies and youngsters into intercourse slaves,” federal prosecutors allege.

Between August 2024 and July 2025, Weisenburg and Thomas allegedly deliberate to take over Gonave Island “to behave out their rape fantasies,” based on court docket paperwork.

They deliberate to purchase a sailboat, weapons and ammunition and recruit members of Washington, D.C.’s homeless group to “function mercenaries as they invaded Gonave Island and staged a coup,” prosecutors stated.

Authorities allege the pair took steps to arrange for the invasion, together with studying Haitian Creole, attempting to recruit others and enrolling in colleges to realize expertise that might assist them perform the invasion.

If convicted, Weisenburg and Thomas every withstand life in federal jail on the conspiracy cost. The kid pornography cost carries a jail sentence of between 15 and 30 years.
