Dick Cheney Funeral: Former VP remembered at Washington National Cathedral memorial service

WASHINGTON – Former Vice President Dick Cheney can be remembered Thursday throughout a memorial service on the Washington Nationwide Cathedral.

What we all know:

Cheney died on November 3 from issues of pneumonia and heart problems. He was 84.

Former President George W. Bush is predicted to ship remarks on the service, and former President Joe Biden will attend. Cheney’s daughter, former Rep. Liz Cheney, will be part of his grandchildren in paying tribute.

Former Vice Presidents Kamala Harris, Mike Pence and Al Gore sat subsequent to one another in the course of the service. Former Senate Majority Chief Senator Mitch McConnell was additionally in attendance.

Along with serving as vice chairman beneath the forty third president, Cheney served as Secretary of Protection beneath President George HW Bush and Chief of Workers to President Gerald Ford. He additionally represented Wyoming as its sole member of the Home, a seat later occupied by his daughter.

President Donald Trump and his administration made little remark following Cheney’s loss of life and have strained ties with the Cheney household. He was not invited to the memorial service.

Trump has not issued a press release on Cheney’s loss of life or a presidential proclamation, a gesture typically made after the deaths of outstanding figures.

The White Home lowered flags to half-mast after his loss of life.
