St. Paul man wanted in fatal shooting arrested at Toronto airport

Police arrested a person in Canada on Tuesday accused of killing the mother of his children in her St. Paul house.

Wesley B. Koboi of St. Paul was charged with the homicide of 29-year-old Shaniya D. Thompson and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Toronto police took Koboi, 33, into custody with out incident Tuesday morning at a Toronto airport, a St. Paul police spokesperson stated.

St. Paul Officers responded to a 911 call on Friday and located Thompson shot in her house within the 500 block of Broadway Avenue, close to downtown and near Interstates 94/35E and East Seventh Avenue. Preliminary proof confirmed she was shot Thursday.
