Detroit Tigers followers dreaming of spring — and of basking within the Florida solar because the group prepares for the season there — have a brand new possibility to go straight to spring coaching.

Avelo Airways introduced Wednesday the launch of nonstop seasonal service between Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Lakeland Worldwide Airport in Lakeland, Florida, the Tigers’ spring coaching base. Avelo is the one airline providing nonstop flights from Detroit to Lakeland.

The route will function twice every week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, utilizing Boeing Subsequent-Technology 737 plane. Vacationers could make reservations through AveloAir.com.

“Detroit, say hey to spring coaching in Lakeland with Avelo!” Aviation founder and CEO Andrew Levy stated in a press release. “We’re excited to fly from Detroit on our nonstop path to Central Florida, a good way to get away and cheer on the Tigers.”

Based mostly in Houston and based in 2021, Avelo serves 32 locations in 12 states and Puerto Rico.
