Florida home invasion suspects used Apple AirTag to track couple to house

Authorities have revealed footage of a house invasion in Florida through which armed thieves held a pair at gunpoint this week after monitoring them with an Apple AirTag.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Workplace stated the incident occurred on August 19. Suspects Luis Charles, 26, and Oardy Maldonado-Rodriguez, 32, are accused of inserting an AirTag underneath the couple’s SUV to trace them again to their house in Odessa, Florida.

“Suspects compelled the victims into their storage at gunpoint earlier than fleeing when an alarm sounded. Detectives later found an AirTag monitoring gadget taped underneath the sufferer’s car,” the sheriff’s workplace stated in a Fb submit.

Police arrested Charles on October 8 in Tampa, Florida. When reserving Charles, police positioned a report with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), based on the New York Post.
