James Watson, who co-discovered the double helix construction of DNA in 1953, has died on the age of 97.
Born in Chicago in 1928, Watson made the groundbreaking discovery at simply 24 years outdated, along with British physicist Francis Crick. Watson died in a hospice after a short sickness, his son confirmed Friday, based on The Related Press.
