Man allegedly kicks, tackles Trump supporter wearing costume at ‘No Kings’ rally

A Massachusetts man has been charged after allegedly attacking a supporter of President Donald Trump who was carrying an inflatable costume of the president throughout a political protest over the weekend, police stated.

The incident occurred Saturday throughout a “No Kings” rally on King’s Seashore within the North Shore city of Swampscott, simply exterior Boston.

Cellphone video captured the second Michael Curll, 36, ran up behind the costumed man, recognized as Jonathan Silveira, and allegedly kicked and tackled him from behind.

Silveira’s girlfriend, Angela Mazariegos, was behind the digital camera throughout the alleged assault.

Silveira, who held an American flag whereas dressed within the inflatable go well with, stated Boston 25 News he merely needed to “get Trump on the market and present that he has help” and wasn’t on the lookout for a battle.

“I like Donald Trump. Go for Trump,” he added.

Swampscott police stated Curll “hooked Silveira’s legs” and wrapped his arms round his neck, knocking him to the pavement, in response to a police report obtained by Boston 25.

Swampscott Police Division Sgt. Brendan Reen confirmed to Fox Information Digital that Curll pleaded not responsible Monday to assault and battery with a harmful weapon and was launched on private recognizance.

Silveira posted the surprising video to Facebook writing: “My costume was ruined by a liberal lunatic.”

Silveira stated he’ll proceed to specific his help for Trump “unapologetically, even when others could not prefer it.”
