MSP troopers, DNR rescue injured hawk in Grayling. See the video

Michigan State Police troopers this month rescued an injured red-tailed hawk present in a Grayling car parking zone.

Troopers from the Houghton Lake put up have been dispatched to the car parking zone on Oct. 15 in response to the report.

“Upon arrival, troopers used a blanket and a canine cage to rescue the hawk,” the MSP Seventh District mentioned in a message to X on Oct. 21.

Troopers contacted the Division of Pure Assets and took the animal to the Affiliation to Rescue Kritters, based mostly in St. Helen, the place the hawk will probably be cared for till it may be launched again into the wild.

The group, based in 2001, says its objective is to assist animals who discover themselves in “unlucky conditions.”
