NC House candidate admits she’s not a Republican despite running in GOP primary

A video goes viral of a North Carolina congressional candidate admitting she’s actually “progressive” despite the fact that she’s a Republican.

“Are you attempting to deceive folks?” Katie Barr, who’s operating in North Carolina’s 14th Congressional District, was requested on a podcast known as “The Hometown Holler.”

“If you happen to go on the marketing campaign web site, ‘above the fold’ as they name it, you say, ‘I am not an actual Republican.’ For instance, I inform folks the reality. I knock on a door and say, ‘I am operating within the Republican major, however I am not a Republican, I am a progressive,'” Barr responded. “I am unable to declare to be a Democrat anymore.”

She added that her purpose is not to “pull a quick one,” claiming that she’s simply being “truthfully trustworthy with folks about what I might do if I win.”

On Nov. 6, Barr filed paperwork difficult incumbent Rep. Tim Moore, R-N.C., to characterize the state’s 14th Congressional District.

Barr states on the homepage of her web site that she is operating as a Republican as a result of it’s “the one method to kick these corrupt cowards out of workplace.” She claims that Republicans have “rigged the playing cards” to make sure they’ll come out on prime “each time.”

“The overall election has already been determined. So the primaries are the one likelihood for this job,” Barr’s web site explains.

Barr reiterated in a press release to Fox Information Digital that she has been “trustworthy” about who she is and the way she plans to manipulate “from the start.”

“Tim Moore is horrible for the voters of District 14,” Barr continued. “He’s getting wealthy from his place whereas voters are struggling. And Tim rigged this district to make sure that he would keep in workplace it doesn’t matter what. That is mistaken. I am operating in order that voters have an actual alternative.’

Whereas Barr has drawn criticism on-line for her maneuver, with critics calling the transfer a hoax and describing it as embarrassing, a minimum of one conservative critic would not assume it is as huge of an issue as some declare.
