NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani faces criticism over resurfaced video

New York Metropolis mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is going through criticism over a resurfaced video wherein he claims he was the sufferer of anti-Muslim discrimination within the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist assaults.

The video exhibits Mamdani speaking to voters throughout his marketing campaign for the New York State Meeting in February 2020. He describes various circumstances of alleged discrimination in opposition to him and states that there are “exceptions” to tolerance in America.

Mamdani claims that his college trainer took him and one other scholar out of sophistication on September 11 and warned them that they might face bullying due to the assault.

In one other case, he says he was stopped at an airport on the age of 15 and returned to the US together with his household. He says safety interviewed him in a non-public room and requested if he had been to a terrorist coaching camp.

Conservative activist Amy Mek was the primary to share the video in 2020, and he or she drew consideration to it once more on Saturday throughout Mamdani’s bid for mayor.

Fox Information Digital reached out to Mamdani’s marketing campaign for remark.

The video comes after Mamdani confronted related criticism for claiming his aunt stopped taking the New York Metropolis subway after 9/11.

Mamdani mentioned he and his household confronted an “undercurrent of mistrust” within the metropolis.

Vice President JD Vance reversed the story in a message to X.

“In keeping with Zohran, the actual sufferer of September 11 was his aunt, who (reportedly) appeared unhealthy,” Vance mentioned.
