Olympics: 2 South Korean skiers DQ’d

Two South Korean skiers had been disqualified from the Winter Olympics on Tuesday after bans had been discovered on their skis, officers stated.

The Worldwide Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) stated Han Dasom and Lee Eui-jin had been out of the qualifying spherical for the ladies’s basic cross-country dash after their tools “examined optimistic for fluorine.”

Fluorine, often called fluorinated wax, was banned for the 2023-2024 season the BBC.

A member of the Korea Ski Affiliation defended the athletes in an interview with South Korean media.
