Pontiac updates MLK Jr. bridge replacement plans
Pontiac officers have introduced that requests for bids for the demolition and re-construction of the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge will exit this week. The bridge was closed for automobiles and pedestrians in August 2022 after an inspection demonstrated that crucial structural repairs had been wanted.
A constructing engineer, who supervises the work, is chosen earlier than 15 September.
Town promised to rent a constructing contractor for demolition on the finish of September.
In October the town is organizing a pre -construction assembly to finish plans for demolishing the bridge.
Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between South Boulevard East and Northbound Woodward Avenue stays closed till the bridge has been changed.
