Woman accused of bringing toddler with her to commit felonies at bank

A 21-year-old Detroit lady accused of issuing counterfeit checks at a Troy financial institution — along with her toddler in tow — faces two counts of uttering and publishing.

Based on Troy police, Caloni Milan Franklin had her 2-year-old youngster along with her when she tried to money a fraudulent examine at Fifth Third Financial institution on West Huge Beaver Highway on Nov. 24. The financial institution worker reportedly turned suspicious of the examine and notified the department supervisor, who confirmed the examine was fraudulent after contacting the account proprietor, police stated.

Officers had been known as, noticed Franklin exterior the financial institution with the kid and, after talking with the supervisor, took Franklin into custody.

Franklin allegedly tried to money checks at that department twice in current days, police stated.

At her arraignment in 52-4 District Courtroom, bond was set at $10,000 with a ten% provision permitting her launch upon posting $1,000.
